ASCOLI PICENO
Ascoli Piceno, the ancient capital of the Piceno area and then a noble Roman province; “city of the hundred towers” during the Middle Ages and now it proudly boasts one of the most beautiful Rnaissance squares of Italy, Piazza del Popolo.
The harmonious aspect of the city center is in great part due to the use of local travertine in the construction of many of the main buildings.
